We (New Zealand Herald) regret to notice the decease of Thomas G. Biddlecombe, Esq., late of H.M.S. Falcon, who was a native of Devonshire, and entered the Royal Navy at an early age ; he received the Crimean medal, and sewed ia the Taranaki war of 1860 in H.M. ships Cordelia and Pelorus. During the exposure of this campaign he caught the disease which caused his death; he invalided to Sydney from H.M.S. Falcon, last year, and came down to Auckland for a short time. By the advice of the navaF surgeons he tried, as a last resource, the climate of Norfolk Island, but at last succumbed to his disease. The deceased gentleman was much beloved in circles both naval and civil, and his loss will be sevet ely felt. The traffic returns of the Greyraouth and Saltwater Creek Tramway Co. for the week ending March 1 show the receipt, for passengers amounted to £57 13s. 6d r and for goods £2 2s. The total number of passengers was 553,
