The railway is progressing iu Southland notwithstanding the depression. The Times reports : — On Saturday, 30fch June, a number of gentlemen took a trip along the Bluff line on one of the engines. The party accordingly proceeded some distance, aad it was remarked by those capable of giving an opinion, that notwithstanding the great difficulties that had to be overcome from the long stoppage of the work, the line appeared to be in good working condition.
