There has been a fair inquiry for labor of various descriptions during' the past month, but more especially for female domestic servants, who readily ob-
tain engagements, if skilful, at from 12s to 15s per week. Day laborers obtain from 7s 6d to 8s per day, skilled mechanics from 30s to 12s, married couples about £60 to ,£7O per annum, on farms and stations, experienced single shepherds or farm laborers from £40 to .£SO.
