On the 14tii, at 9 a.m., passed Cape Farewell, but the gale again freshening from S.W. she was compelled to slew her broadside to it ; and as the gale continued unabated, and her fuel run short, she put into West Wanganui. She remained there that clay, obtaining several boat loads of coal, leaving at noon, on the 16th, and on the following day, at 9 a.m, the Hokitika bar was crossed. She left for the Grey on Friday afternoon, and arrived at Nelson after a passage of 25 hours.
