The Provincial Solicitor to move the second reading of the Electoral Districts Bill. 3. The Provincial Solicitor to move the second reading of the Public Works Bill. 4. Mr. Parker to move, that His Honor the Superintendent, be requested to procure for this Council, a return of all fees and fines, received from thu Magistrate's Court, Motueka, for the years 185G lo 1865, both inclusive. „„,,, „ -, Council to meet at 5 o'clock, Wednesday, April 18th, 1866. ,-,,.-, a 1. The late Accident on tue Tramway to the Port. — We have ascertained the full particulars of this occurrence. It appears that the trucks had arrived at their destination at the corner of Trafalgar-street, when one of the passengers, unasked, applied his whole strength to the brake, which brought them up too suddenly, and slightly lifted the hinder wheels, the passengers who were standing on the front jumped off, but the

lady passengers, who were seated behind were not aware of anything unusual having occured when they alighted. No passenger was thrown out, as we were first informed. We are glad to hear that to-morrow the' old " bus," which has been dove up, will be on the live agaiu. Stealer Lytteltoi.— On Saturday the old boilers, weighing about 12 tons, were lifted out of this steamer. The apparatus consisted of shears rigged at the end of the Government wharf. The work was executed under the superintendence of Mr. Akeroten. The new boilers recently imported for this vessel will be placed in her the early part of next month. Resident Magistrate's Court. — In this court, this morniug, Charles Baker was fined 10s. aud costs, for drunken and disorderly conduct yesterday. There were no cases in the Extended Jurisdiction Court. Two or three were called on, but Messrs. Kiugdou aud Adams not being ready to go on with them, they were postponed till Monday next. Publicans' Licenses. — To-morrow the 17th instant, is the day appointed for hearing applications for publicans' and billiard licenses, at the Court House, Nelson, at 10 o'clock in the forenoon.
