March 17, 1866. Mr. C. W. Lorenzen, produce salesman, Jettystreet, reports — the market during the week got sparsely supplied -with grain. There is a good demand for old and new oats. Hay comes in plenti- | fully from farmers close at hand. The following are ! latest quotations : — Wheat (short delivery) 6s 9d to j 7s, one month 6s 6d per bushel; flour (colonial) £18 j 10s, best £21 to £-12 per ton; sharps £9 10s per ton; i bran 2s 7d per bushel; barley 5s 3d. to 5s Gd per bushel; maize 6s 9d per bushel: oats (old) 4s 6d, new, 3s 6d to 3s 9d per bushel; hay (oaten) <£4 10s to £5 10s per ton; rye grass, hay, and clover £i 10s to £5 per ton; rye grass seed 6s to 7s Gd per bushel; chaff (none in the market) £6 per ton; straw (oat and wheat) £2 per load; potatoes (derwent) £6 10s to £7 per ton ; corn (sacks, new) 20s per dozen. — Otago News Letter.
