A cert&iu storekeeper iu Beechworth, found £10, which had been dropped iu his shop by a regular customer. The loser almost immediately missed his money, and returned to ask the storekeeper if he had found it. He answered no ; but if the loser gave hini (the storekeeper) £1, he would tell where he cpuld get it. This was agreed to, and the £1 put into the storekeeper's hand, , when he quietly took the £10 out of his pocket, and handed it to the lawful owner.
