Sydney, 2nd March. The Estimates were laid on the table of the House last night. A strong feeling of economy pervades them. The salaries of the Speaker of the Assembly and the President of the Council have been reduced by £200 a-year each. Eott>eries by bushrangers continue at Eerriraa. The police again encountered them and shots were interchanged, but the bushrangers escaped.
Three men robbed a public house in Bathurst last night. ....... Robert Scott Eoss, the late aspirant to legislative honors, who were arrested at Yass for obtaining money under false pretences, was to-day discharged from custody, but was shortly after re-arrested on another charge. Wheat is very firm. Californian was sold to-day at Bs. Adelaide flour is also very firm. Californian and Chilian flour has gone up to £21 per ton for best samples. The steamship Erl Kiug is loading coal for China, and Ivill sail for Hong Kong to-morrow. An extensive payable gold-field has been discovered fifty miles to the westward of Cleveland Bay, in Queensland. At Messrs. Irwine and Turner's produce sales today, fleece brought 18|d. per lb. Beef tallow was sold at £47 per ton.
