J. M. Butler's "Roy."—Dog started out good line, dog running about unnecessarily, through first flags first attempt, a bit rash, slewed sheep a bit, dog off sheep a little, dog inclined to run across sheep, let sheep off to left a bit, verey rash, let sheep off course to left, missed top flag. Butler's "Jack."—Sheep ran away to left.dog headed, brought back intoposition, dog won't hunt sheep away, headed and brought back again, sheep coming back, dog won't force them away, called off. J. Ferguson's "Spy."—Sheep ran past front of flags to left, dog running sheep backwards and forwards, through flags after numerous tries, dog out of position, dog brought sheep back through flags, back again through flags, called off. H. G. Chase's "Chap."—Started out in good line, dog slack, coming back, went away to right past flags, headed and bringing back, through first flags at second attempt, dog only barks when told, dog headed and brought sheep back right past man again, called off. .H Edmond's "York."—Dog started off rash, hunted sheep to left, bringing sheep back, called off. A. A. Finlayson's "Chips'—Started sheep a little to right, back on line, through flags first attempt, dog made rash turn on right, brought sheep back on line, dog made good recovery on corner of log, let sheep off line, dog brought back, dog van in rash, rash turn, through top flags first attempt. Time, 6 minutes.

H. Chase's "Pat."—Dog called off. G. H. White's "Toby."—Started quietly, but dog fiddling about, taking no interest, fair line, through flags first attempt, letting sheep out to right, dog slack, dog has no command of sheep, brought back into position, but dog very slack, through logs first attempt, out to right going to top flags, ringing sheep on top of hill, time called. G. Child's "Toby."—Zigzagged sheep across to first flags, through flags first attempt, let sheep past corner of log, brought sheep back into position, dog bringing sheep down hill again, through logs after several attempts, dog zig-zags behind sheep, a bit rash at times, dog headed and brought sheep back, called off. Millen's "Skye."—Chased sheep to left and brought back to man, hunted sheep to left, through flags after several attempts, dog runs too much on side of sheep, dog headed and brought sheep back, called off.
