"LAW AND ORDER ,, AT W.AIHI.
Dear Comrade,—At a meeting of the Adelaide local of the Industrial Workers of the World, held on. the 20th inst., the following resolution was carried, and I was instructed to forward a copy for publication : —"That this meeting of the Adelaide local of the I.W.W. extend our sympathy to the relatives of Worker Evans, ,who met his death at Waihi, N.Z., through being clubbed by a policeman during the riot created by the scabs who had taken the place of toe strikers iv the Waihi mines. We further desire to draw the attention ot the working-class to tho lessons in capitalist law and order as demonstrated by the fact that the police took no action against the scabs who started tho riot."
Acting under instructions from the samo meeting, I am forwarding a copy of the resolution for publication to tho "Dominion," "Auckland Star," "Lyttelton Times" and "Otago Daily Times."
Wo have watched with interest the fight that the Waihi and Reef ton workers have put up against capitalist oppression and craft union scabbery and at all our propaganda meetings we have shown to the audiences what law and order and the flag and country cries have stood for at Waihi. We still hope to see the Waihi lads win out in spite of their temporary rebuff, as w© know that their fight is our fight; an injury to one is an injury to all.—With fraternal greetings, yours for industrial freedom, H. S. CLARKE. Corresponding Secretary. Wakefield St., Adelaide, S-A-. November 22.
