THE RECENT FINE

H. "W. Reynolds, who was fined £5 a sbotr time ago for publishing matter without an imprint, was arrested on a warrant of commitment on November 25 and sent to Lyttelton Jail for seven days. Th© "matter without an imprint" was a reprint of The Maortiand Worker's Roll of Honor of jailed conscripts and Reynolds displayed it in his shop window. He was fined £5, but the sum was reduced to £1, which he refused to pay, and the warrant was issued agaitiet him.
