Huntly Happenings
THE PRESENT CRISIS.
Two circumstances are operating to fill this town with p<?opl<"—first the death of the Maori King and next the retreat of the Waihi strikers. The Maoris come to a tangi; the pakehas to a refuge-«-fsuoh are the vicissitudes of the class struggle, " The workers are engaged, in a das: war, and to-day the powers of wealth and all that wealth commands are arrayed against the toilers, frit our tim« is coming. Repulsed but not discouraged, betrayed but not defeated,, desperate but not despairing, we, the toilers, are being more eioaely bound together by the experiences through which wo are passing. Bind up your wounds, bury your dead, but bury the hatchet in this class war until we rise triumphant. And when we rise victorious, will we drive front the land our opponents? No! The world's wealth for the world's workers. All will work and none shall shirk and life will be full for all. W4 are coming into c-iir dwn---the noise of caraa.g« in onr midst to-day is but the rumbling of th« wheels that bear us on to that time when the earth shall be filled with the glory of love and hated oppression and tyranny will be at an end. March on, ye toilers; dread not the road: it ]ea4« to the gtitl of Freedom—Freedom for tb« race. The diabolical tactics of union-smash-ing are still being pursued by Walsh and his kin. The enclosed pamphlets 'grill explain our position in Huntly. (See page 7.) Wβ have entered into possession of our ball here, and hope to have it thoroughly equipped and furtoirtwd shortly. Rouse, ye workers, to the oonflict; rouse ye throughout every nation. Dare to stand for life and freedom; dare to stand for Federation. BRUIT
