The Socialist declaration of principles demands democracy in government, through the initiative and Tecall. Laws would be made and vetoed by the people themselves. The recall would be effective, not so much as a means of recalling elected officers, as an effective club to keep elected representatives in the straight and narrow path. We want recall of legislators in order that there may be less reason to recall them.
