Wm. D. Haywood's Arrest.
BOSTON, September 15
Immediately after he had concluded a speech urging a general country-wide strike as a protest against the incarceration of Joseph J. Ettor and Arturo Giovannitti on indictments charging them with being accessories befofre the fact to the murder of Anna Lv Pi22a at Lawrence during the strike of last winter, William D. Hay wood, of Denver, member of the National Executive Committee of the Socialist Party and organiser of the Industrial Workers of the World, was arrested by members of the district police force on the Common this aternoon, on the charge of "conspiracy." It was well understood that Raywood would be arrested th© moment he sot font within tho borders of Massachusetts, an indictment having been returned against him charging "conspiracy" in connection frith the outbrliks at Lawrence-, brft the State nnlieo allowed him to have his say to the multitude of textile workers from T-nwrencr rrnd other mill cities before the; served the warrant.
