The large anti-militarist meeting in Christchurch last Sunday week unanimously carried a resolution: "That lihis meeting of Christchureh citizens pledges itself to oppose the re-election of members of Parliament, mayors and city councillors who have forfeited confidence and violated the principles of representative government by supporting conscription and fining and imprisonment of boys and younn; men who objected to compulsory military service."
