RECEPTION AT HUNTLY

A large crowd, which included a good proportion of the fair sex, awaited the. arrival of the express at Huntly from Auckland to meet three young men who had completed their term of punishment for non-attendance at military drills. The red badge of Socialism was in evidence in many buttonholes. After being greeted by their relatives, the boys wore escorted by the officials of the Miners' Union to the "log," where they were addressed and welcomed by Mr! J. E. Duncan and Mr. J. Fulton, who denounced militarism and praised the boys. The demonstration, was under the auspices or the Huntly Socialist party.
