Wellington Railwaymen.

SUPPORT REEFTON AND WAIHI

MINERS.

The monthly meeting of the Thorndon branch of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants was held on Sunday week, and was one of the largest meetings held for some considerable time. The question of voting a sum of money to the Waihi and Reefton miners came up. After the matter had been fully discussed, it was unanimously decided to vote .the sum of £10 to their assistance and, furthermore, to have lists circulated immediately in the endeavor to raise funds to support the men.

Several members spoke strongly in support of the men, and judging by the feelings of the meeting the lists should receive a large amount of support.
