COOKING BY ELECTRICITY.
"Electricity has been a friend to man," said Miss Trent at a cooking : demonstration in Christchurch, "and ijttow at last man is thinking of the .woman and is going to make it a friend to her. It is wonderful to think of tho time and tho toil that has been spent over the coal-heated stoves. We ! 'are a progressive people, and electricity is progressive. For cooking it has many , advantages. It maintains an oven heat, it is clean, economical, and makes cooking and ironing cool."
