RUNANGA RUMBLINGS.
Tho election of councillors for tho newly-formed Borough of Runanga resulted in every candidate on the workers' ticket being returned. The, Mayoralty resulted in a walk-over for tho toilers' nominee. For tho Council only one opponent to tho workers' candir dates appeared, and be found: himself ! adorning the bottom, of the poll. The solidarity displayed is something to bo gonuinely proud of. The successful can- ; didates &ro> as follows :— Mayor, H. Coppersmith. Councillors.: Messrs* Aimstrongj, O'Brien/, Latimer,.Puier, Buchanan? and* Noon.
