RUSSIAN STATE COAL.
In Russia the''competition between the State Coal Trust and tho private coal trusts is very acute, so much so that the private hrtns have now asked the State Trust to combine with thorn in one big trust. This the State would probably do on the condition that it was allowed to veto high prices. Last year £12,000,000 wortrfi of Russian Statemined coal was sold to private consumers.
