WANTED—A SOCIALIST LABOR PARTY.
Sir, —Re the general elections. It is the same old story —the mountain bringing forth a- mouse —or, rather, a few moro Lib.-Lab. mice. The most surprising thing about these "Independent" Labor men is the unseemly haste with which they lly into the arms of "Ma" Liberal Party. Their attempts to liven up old Radicalism when it should be dead and buried would bo funny if they wore not so pitiable. Why should the workers worry their heads about Radicalism ? Capitalism will sco to that good and faithful servant. It has pulled many a chestnut from the firo for its old boss; it has sold the workers' cause for a mess of pottage more than once, and is there to do so again. It is the forward wing of Capitalism. With its radical .party, Capitalism will do anything for the workers—anything but get off their backs. What is wanted is a Socialist Labor Party to rid the workers of the incubus of the Fat Man. May the Federation of Labor prosper and the Socialist Labor Party soon bo a power in the land.—Yours, etc., H.L.
