WHAT THE WORKERS GET.
The analysis of the statistics furnished by tho United States Census Bureau on the printing industry is exwptionally interesting. It shows that in the year 1904,, 219,087 persons were ■engaged as wage-earners, their wages averaged 580 dollars per annum, and the valuo of their production per capita amounted to 2321 dollars • in 1909 tho number of employees had increased to 258,434, the wages had increased 10 per cent., or an average of 637 dollars per ajuvum; the product had increased an value 13 per cent, during the five years, or an average per capita of 28C5 dollars.
