ANNUAL PICNIC.
The annual picnic of the West Coastcry Association, held at Day's Buy, Wellington, on Wednesday, February 14, was unfortunately marred by rainy weather as a success from tho point of view of attendance and financial returns, but otherwise tho occasion furnished the opportunity of a pleasant reunion of West Coasters, and also provided much to interest and amuse. A programme of diversified events — from a baby show to a wrestling match —was carried out with great zest and vim. the tug-of-war, West Coasters v. tho World (won by the former), proving especially exciting. The committee are to be congratulated on the completeness of their arrangements, and then failure to square the Clerk of the Weather is the only thing wo nave against them. See t« it nest year. Secretary Pfaffl
