Men Win-Council Surrenders On Sunday last the Strike Committee issued an ultimatum that if there was no settlement of the trouble by noon <mi Moiuby, action in tho direction of a general strike would bo taken. On Monday morning the Prime Minister saw the City Council, and brought to the Strike Comniicee a propo sal providing for a settlement of the dispute, and upon this being accepted it was subsequently agreed to by the City C.uisicil, and signed by both parties.
