AUSTRIA PERSECUTES THE SOCIALIST PRESS.
The persecution of the Socialist press continues in Austria. Two editions of the "Arbeitor-Zeituiig" of Vienna, a national Socialist publication, wore confiscated by,the Government authorities., Tho pretext for the Governmcnt'-i action Who •fclj.p, iK-pvinthij; 'oi cm pU'Jgod statement of the Minister of Justice,; yon Hochcnbtirger, that the ministers should be hung to lamp poles. ,
That the persecution depends upon the attitude of the publications in •question towards the Government is shown by the fact that two of. the party papers, one the "Sloboda,",;,a tri-monthly, and the "Napred,'! a-hi-, monthly publication, hare 27 actions, pending against them.
