High-class Siilts Made toy Men -For Men. High-class LEWIS & HOQAN, J^ r^ 98 Manners Street, WELLINGTON.
Rev. R. J. Campbell, of "New Theology" celebrity, was boycotted socially in Philadelphia, and refused the use of several pulpits, for having spoken as follows in his first lecture in that city: "As a matter of cold fact, no successful business man in modern times can be honest. The conditions of business are such to-day that a business man must take advantage of his competitors every chance he gets or go to the wall. Competition is too keen. There is no hope of* improvement until business shall bo conducted in a Christian way. 'To mc it is humorous to observe the differences which men establish between their behaviour in busness and in their private lives." Philadelphia is the stronghold of the ultra "respectable" American merchant.
