PROTEST AGAINST WAR

On October 4 a meeting of protest against the war was hoi dnear the harbour of Salonika. It was convened by the 16 trades unions, which consist of 10,003 workers and constitute a solid Socialist Party. Speeches were given in Bulgarian, Jewish-Spanish, Greek, and French, as well as the native language. The meeting passed off without any untoward incident, and after tho reading out of the decisions to be taken concerning the union of the Balkan States, to which end tho support of the international proletariat is to be enlisted, the meeting raised energetic protest against the piracy perpetrated by Italy, though at the same time protesting strongly against the proposed expulsion of the Italian subieets from Turkey,
