AN ULTIMATUM.
The Auckland Tram at ays Union on December 8 served on the Auckland ■Electric Tramway sCompany the following notice, signed by some 498 men: — "We, the undersigned emplo3 T ees of the Auckland Electric Tramways Company, Ltd., hereby give the requisite 14 days' notice under the Act that., unless a satisfactory settlement of the present dispute is "effected by the end of the Said 14 days from service hereof, we intend to cease work."
