IF PROHIBITION IS CARRIED.
If national prohibition is carried, it will come into force four years after the day of the general election on which the licensing polls were taken. After that date no licenses for the sale of liquor will be granted, but licenses then existing will continue for the term for which they were granted, and then they will lapse. While national prohibition remains in force, it will he unlawful for any person to- " manufacture, sell, or otherwise have in his possession for the purposes of sale, intoxicating liquor a£ any description.- 5 The question of national restoration of licenses will be submitted to the electors at the first general election of members of Parliament after the expiration of three years from the commencement of national prohibition, and at every general election thereafter, so long as national prohibition continues in force, the question of restoration will be submitted to the electors. It will require a three-fifths majority to carry restoration and if it is carried it will come into force in three months.—"Post. 5,
