STOLYPIN'S ASSASSINATION.
Nasty Outlook for the Russian Police. Investigations into'the circumstances 'surrounding the assassination of M. Stolypin revealed that the Premier, on the eve of the tragedy, called on tlie Chief of Secret Police, Yourlofa, to account for £100,000, Avhich that department had received. Later the police refused to admit the Premier's aide to the theatre, and also a police spy, who made frantic efforts to slay Hogroffen after the shooting, hoping to silence him.
