MEXICO ORGANISES FEDERATION OF LABOR.

I. A National Federation of Labor has 3been formed in Chihuahua, Mexico. 'Antonia Y. Villareal, the well-known (Socialist orator and organiser, who fought under the insurrecto flag, is the prime mover in getting the Mexican Avorkers into a natioanl body. Since Dictator Diaz has been driven <rat of the country, the working-peo-ple have been rapidly organising and ptrikes were called in nearly every industrial centre of the nation during the |>ast feAV weeks. The movement has become so widespread and class-conscious that Madero and his lieutenants groAV frightened at the demonstrations, and in a number of places attempted to disrupt the fitriko J a-l3j^crco._ .'.; But such tactics have only resulted in further embittering the workers, thousands of whom fought against the "Diaz tyranny and for the right to organise and improve their industrial Sjonditions. i These Avorkers see Madero and his fchosen feAV ride into power at the capital. while they, after sarcificing throughout the Avar, have not only been abandoned to their fate, but find themselves actually attacked by the :.very capitalists whose very property they 'saved and by the neAv set of politicians that they created. '. Tho Mexican Avorkers charge that Madero is giving evidence of intending ito follow in tho footsteps of Diaz to a .large extent—that his promised rcjforniis will not be carried out or AAill [he delayed as long as possible. '• Therefore, tlio Avorkers arc becoming ;impatient, arc organising and striking . jwherovcr opportunities present them;- --; solves, and they make no secret of the jifaot that they are likely to engage in :0, neAv revolution if they are-nob speedily granted Velief from their burdens. ! But that is Avar's doieful story in all woi'kers' struggle against oppression and fight the battles of some and are ahvays in turn enfolavod by that class. Labor has not fouglit for its oavii class.
