TO HELP "THE WORKER."
Dear Editor,—l noticed in yotir esteemed paper of last week a letter from Mr. R. S. Cooper suggesting how you could extend the usefulness of "The Maoriland Worker" by disseminating the local news' and the world's news, as well as the happenings in the Labor world. The very same idea suggested itself to mc sonic weeks ago while I was combatting the Conscription Act through the medium of the Greyinouth "Evening Star." 1 discovered then that instead of the editor occupying a neutral position in comiocfcion with any debate being carried on in the columns of his paper, he showed a very marked favour to my opponent, by printing his letters in full, but on the other hand, mine through a, condensing process that suppressed my best points. So if the Federation, of" Labor see fit to adopt Mr, Cooper's plan, I. am ready with .my pound subscription or more, if required, and we Vvill then be independent of the capitalist press. Tlurr.ki.ng you in anticipation, I remain, yours, etc., MliS. J. MeTAGGiUtT. Ruiianga.
