N.Z. Socialist Party.
The secretary of the National ExeeuMye of the N.Z.S.P. has received the fallowing pronouncements on the Mills' BOJi-caJled "unity" scheme as below: -.'Waibi Socialist Party. —"Our branch is ! of the opinion that to compromise •w&otild- be a retrograde- step and the policy outlined therein would quite obBcure the main issue; further, in our opinion, Mills is not the great omnipotent to heal the breach between us; also,, in our opinion, the best unity nolicy is to be found in the Socialist Tarty; and the N.Z. Federation of Bkkor. 3 '

Mills' '/unity" scheme, believing that the joining up of the present division of the Workers from any viewpoint except that ofc one resting upon a revolutionary foundation is just so much waste of time, besides the Socialists having to sink the very principles which make theirs the only logical basis for their activities." 7'Dunediii Socialist Party: "This branch is of the opinion that the Socialist ' party should maintain its separate identity , } distinct from any other IwJiticail party." - ■ • Christchurch branch condemns Prof. Mill's' scheme of unity as being mischievous and harmful to the N.Z. Fed- 1 ©ration- of Labor aaid Socialist Party.
