To remove stains apply a little marble cream made as follows: —Two ounces washing soda, loz precipitated whiting and loz pumices-bone powder. Pound in a iuortar or crush with a rolling pin ; then moisten with sufficient toiling water to make the mixture of the consistency of cream.. Apply with a small brush, and leave to dry".
