ARBITRATION AWARDS IN WESTERN AUSTRALIA.

Tho West Australian Arbitration Court has- given ah aAvard for three ..years on the case brought by the drivers of tho Collio coal fields. A minimum Avage of 12s 7d per shift of eight Jiours was fixed, the rate to rise or fall Id for every rise or fall of 3d per ton on the present price of coal —namely, 10s 6d. Half-hour crib is alloAved in the shift time. A fortnight's Avork shall comprise 104 hours. Overtime pay is to be time and a-half. The Artration Court aAvard for tinsmiths, to for three years, provides for a .week of 48 hours and a Saturday half-holiday. Bench hands will receive £3 os; general stock hands, £2 17s' 6d a week; apprentices, 12s 6d for the first- year, rising to 15s in the fifth year, with yearly examinations.
