IDENTITY OF INTEREST.
Sir, —Some little time ago a letter of mine in "The Worker" re Goldbugs, Avas copied and commented on by the local "Westport Times," which remarked that the correspondent must be very dense if he could not see that the establishing of such an industry would be for the benefit of all concerned. Well, sir, as the said Goldbug was addressing a purely Labor body, I fail to see where the benefit to ALL comes in. If he had been talking to the Chamber of Commerce or the Employers' Federation I could understand it easily, but perhaps I. am, as he says, dense. Still, I Avould like to call his attention to the present state of things at LithgoAv. Are you listening, "Westport Times?" If the statement made at the meeting, that our interests are identical, Avas true, to take the iron and steel industry only, Avhat a big slab of heaven one would expect to meet Avith at such places as LithgoAv (N.S.W.), Pittsburg (U.S.A.), Birmingham and (Sheffield (England), and Essen (Germany). But can you find it? ' Can you? One is more likely to find a slab of Hades.— Westport. T.S.
