I ought to get a large reward For never owning a union card. I -'never grumbled, I never struck, And never mixed with the "Union "ruck," But I must be going on my way to Avin, So open, Saint Peter, and let mo in. Saint Peter, sat and stroked his staff, Despite his high office he.had to laugh. Said ho with a fiery gleam in his eye: "Who is tending this gate, you or I? Thereupon he rose in his stature tall, And pressed a britton upon the wall, Then said to the imp Avho ansAvered the bell: "Escort this felloAV around to. hell; Tell Satan to give him the seat alone On a red-hot griddle beside the throne. But stay—even the devil can't stand the smell ...... Of a cooking scab on a griddle in hell; It Avould cause a strike—a revolt—l knoAv, If I send you -down to the imps beloAv. Go back to your master on earth and tell
They don't Avant even a scab in hell."
