HIKURANGI HOSTILITIES.
The trouble at Hikurangi originating through the alleged dismissal of tho Union secretary, has been investigated by the Federation ExecutiA-e, Avith the result/ that the Union has been ordered to resume Avork. The men stopped Avork without consulting the Federation and without a sufficiently strong case to merit concerted action. It is stated that vlie Union secretary received 14 days' notice that his services were to bo dispensed with, and at the expiration of that time the men in a body ceased Avork, without having previously, notified the Federation of the facts of Vthe case. ...
