SOUTHLAND SAWMILLERS.

The secretary of the Southland Sawmill Workers' 'Union (Mr. T. O'Byrne) has returned from a visit to the CatEns district, where he held a meeting to ascertain te views of the men en the position that has arisen owing to tho refusal of the employers to accede to the request of the union for an increased minimum and improved conditions generally. There was a good attendance of members, who expressed their willingness to stand by tho Unnon, and suggested as an advisable course that the Union's registration be cancelled and that they affiliate with the N.Z.F.L.
