THE SHEARERS' CONFERENCE. MEETING IN WELLINGTON.
The annual conference of the N.Z. Shearers and Woolshed Employees' Union is taking place in -Wellington as Aye go to press. The following delegates attending : —Messrs. W. Johnstone and J. Stewart (Otago) ; W. Boon, J. Purves, and C. Johnston (Canterbury);. A, M'Leod, J. Cooper, and J. Nicholson (Wellington) ; J. K. Morgan (Gisborne) ; J. ToAvnsend (Marlborough). Messrs. J. A. King, President, M. Laracy, General Secretary, and F. Wad-dell attend ex officio 3 In addition to the ordinary shearers' business which is being transacted, representatiA r es of the N.Z.F.L. are present, and matters pertaining to the Federation -will also be discussed. An account of proceedings will be published in next issue.
