M. J. Savage, Socialist candidate for Auckland Central, opened his campaign last week, when he addressed a crowded meeting in tho Federal Hall. He struck the working-class note from the commencement and pointed out that it was only by clear cut, definite, revolutionary action that working-class emancipation was possible. On being asked if it was true that the Socialist platform had been taken from the Labor platform he said: "Well, if you can find any part of the Labor platform about my person you can give mc in charge of the nearest policeman."
