The Heavy Load.

History repeats itself. The time is ripe to take a step that will cripple capitalism as nothing has yet done. Capitalism has grown rich and powerful from profits and surplus valu® of labour.

Mr. Wilson, United States secretary of agriculture, says commodities are doubled in price in going from producer to consumer. This difference is the middleman's profit.

The annual reports of the United States Steel trust shows profits over wages paid and interest on capital of an amount equal to total wages paid. This profit and the interest on capital is just so much surplus value created by their workers. In "Ancient Lowly," by Ward, we find practically no opposition to the early Christians until they refused to buy* the commodities offered by the rich of their time.

At that point the persecution of the early followers of the lowly Nazarine began, and did not cease until millions wero .uurdered and the ancient labour unions were absolutely broken up. As long as labour unions acted on a fraternal basis they were not molested. As long as the working people do not ask tho capitalists to get off their backs, all is lovely at the top.

Yet a little while and the . working people who have been carrying the capitalist and his profits will unload. —George B. Kline, M.D.
