AUSTRALIAN REFERENDA AND ARBITRATION.

Dear Editob 3 —Wβ cannot blame Peter Bowling for losing the referenda. Wβ have only our brothers, the working class, of Australia to blame. I left New Zealand.in February last for Queensland to get enrolled for the referenda; time- was nearly up. 1 thought my vote would be one more of the majority, but shearing here in a small town where the polling booth was a few paces from the shed only one-half of the shearers and shed hands would go to vote, saying it would never do us any good. Just think how much it will take to enlighten men. Will our brothers ever look ahead? Men like those who shore in Prairie, N.Z., are useless to the world outside woolly sheep. Three brothers shore there, none voted. What we want is to join, together every union in Australia, and New Zealand, also Great Britain; after we get Federation of Labour then we will ask and receive. Receive not, work not. I ask all Unions in New Zealand to federate with the shearers and miners and wipe out the Arbitration Court. That Court will ruin both New Zealand and Australia. The sooner the Federation of Labour is. ruling the better. The Australian Court is holding back and for no good; there will be a big cut to all it concerns; it will create great trouble throughout these States. I only hope my opinion is wrong and that this Court will settle with as little trouble as last.—l am, et Q'land. ONE WHO SUFFERS.
