We Need Men

♦ ■ This is a time when men are needed. Men! Real men. Strong men. True men. Men who have convictions and are ready to go to jail for them. Men who are not afraid! to die for Avhatthey believe to be the right. There would be no hope were it not that there are just such men. When the call comes they will be prepared for whatever duty fate or the Capitalist Government may assign them; and they will face without fear the consequences of their acts. We are verging on a crisis. There is a tremendous struggle just ahead; its shadow is already upon us. This struggle is between the 1 people and the throned monarchs of corruption; between the poor, the oppressed, and the corrupt duling dynasty that is throttling the people's liberties and using its stupendous enginery to crush all protest and keep the multitude, the chiildren of God, thousands of whom are starving, despairing and dying before our eyes, in everlasting bondage. In this struggle, this crisis, we stand for the working class, for freedom, for the truth, for justice. We have nothing to fear. We are fighting the battles of the Almighty's own children and the gates of hell cannot prevail against us. We want men, and we thank whatever gods there be that Aye have them ; and when the ordeal comes they will not shrink, though they may perish in the fire of it.
