French Railway Strikers
GOVERNMENT'S DEMANDS FOR REINSTATEMENT. PARIS, April 18. At the Congress of Collectivist Socialists M. Jaures, Socialist leader in the Chamber of Deputies, applauded the policy being pursued by the new Premier, M. Monis, as compared -with. that of M. Briand, the late Premier. M. Jaures declared that the submission of the railway companies to the demands of the Government regarding the reinstatement of dismissed strikers would mean a great victory fof the workers.
