Editorial Farewell.
Dear Readei-s, —With this issue I complete my engagement with the New Zealand Shearers' Union as Editor of "The Maoriland Worker," and sever my official connection with the paper. " For the future " The Maoriland Worker " will be managed and edited as the official organ of the New Zealand Federation of Labour, of which organisation the Shearers' Union has now become, by ballot, an integral part. A new editor will be appointed to take charge from this issue, and I have, therefore, to ask for him the help and consideration which you have all given so kindly, and so readily in the past.
In conclusion I have only to thank you all as readers, and the Shearers' Union as my employers, for the tinfailing confidence and courtesy with which I have been treated during the six months of my engagement as Editor, and to express the hope that the efforts we have all made will redound to the credit and furtherance of the cause of Democracy in New Zealand.
Yours faithfully,
ETTIE A. ROUT
