PROTEST OF OTAGO TRADES AND LABOUR COUNCIL.
DUNEDIN, December 1. At a meeting of the Trades and Labour Council to-nightj a resolution was adopted, after an animated discussion, expressing surprise and indignation at the action of the President of the Arbitration Court in refusing to make an award in the shearing shed hands' dispute, and asking the Minister td state how much longer he was going to allow this persecution to continue, as upon his shoulders must rest all responsibility in the event of an industrial revolt, also that the executive should be instructed to draw up a letter to the Minister showing the inconsistencies and unfair decisions of the President of the Court.
