The annual report and balance sheet, which disclosed a favourable balance of £32 11s lid were then read by the secretary (Mr J. Colgan). Only one item merited discussion—that of outstanding subscriptions, Mr Pitt questioning the matter. Mr Colgan explaining that the greater part of the money was assured. The report and balance sheet were adopted. Before vacating the chair Mr Williams thanked the members for the honour the Club had bestowed upon him in the previous year. He remarked that owing largely to small finance it was a difficult club to carry on. Colgan wrote declining the office of secretary. Mr Talboys moved that the resignation be accepted with regret and that the vacancy should be advertised. Following ia discussion and various amendments it was finally decided to advertise the postition, the stewards to select and appoint the new secretary. Date of Racing The secretary stated that in spite of his endeavour to have the date altereed, as at present the fixture coincided detrimentally with other meetings, he had been unsuccessful. On the motion of Mr Carruthers it was decided to hold the meeting on Easter Saturday, Bth April. The amount of stakes’ moneys fixed at £550.
