BEAUMONT SCOTTISH SOCIETY
A fancy dress and hard-up dance was held in Beaumont Coronation Hall on Labour night (Oct. 24). There was a large attendance. The costumes were splendid, especially the ladies’ ones.
Winners were: Best ladies’ costume: Miss Johnston and Miss Bell (equal); Best gent’s costume: Mr M. Hastie and Mr G. Collins (equal); best hard-up costume: Mr J. Irvine. Lucky spot wait z, Miss N. Beccard and Mr W. Irvine; Monte Carlo waltz, Miss E. Phillipps and Mr A. Beceard.
