BOROUGH OF ROXBURGH PROPOSED SPECIAL TAR SEALING LOAN OP £550. PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN in terns of Sections 9 and 10 of “The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926,” that the Roxburgh Borough Council proposes to raise a special loan for the purpose of Tar-sealing the Council’s portion of the Main Highway in Roxburgh. The sum to be borrowed is £550 at a rate of interest not exceeding £3 10s per centum per annum. The Loan shall be for a term of Ten (10) years, and the proposed security for this Loan and to provide Interest and Sinking Fund j shall be an Annual recurring Rate 1 of Three pence farthing in the Pound (£) on the Annual value of all Rateable property within the Borough of Roxburgh. The provision for the re-pay-ments of the Loan will be by way of a, sinking fund of Eight pounds Ten shillings (£8 10s) per centum per annum during the currency of the Loan. No portion of the Interest or the Sinking fund of the whole Loan will be paid out of the Loan. And further Notice is Hereby Given pursuant to Section 2 of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926,” that a Poll of Ratepayers will be taken on the above proposal on THURSDAY, the 17th day of NOVEMBER, 1938, ibetweeen the hours of 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. at the Town Hall, ROXBURGH. F, A. LALOLI, Mayor. Roxburgh, 17.10.38. At Roxburgh FRIDAY, 21st OCTOBER, 1938. At 1.30 p.m. auction sale of dwelling (for removal) and large quantity of Furniture and Sundries.

Conditions of purchase being that the building be demolished and all material be removed from the site within fourteen days. At the same time will be auctioned for the same client the whole of his Furniture and Household Sundries as follows: — Double wooden bedstead and Sleepwell mattress, two threequarter wooden bedsteads and mattress, 3 duchess chests, 3 wardrobes, 1 pedestal, sideboard, extending dining table, 6 upholstered dining chairs, one couch, porcelain 6ft bath and wash basin copper boiler, wooden tubs, kitchen cupboard, table and chairs, 2 moquett easy chairs, 3 upholstered tire-side chairs, hall runner, carpet and feltex carpets, linoleums, curtains kitchen utensils and ware, hall stand, carved mirror, meatsafe, overmantle, seagrass chairs, deck chairs, kitchen chairs, small tables, palm stand, pictures, ornaments and sundries.
